1. The One With Ross & Monica’s Cousin (S7 E19)
If you had some small hope that Danny and his sister, and Ross’ oedipal Princess Leia fantasy would have been the last of the incest-related storylines on Friends, you’re about to be disappointed. Each of these pale in comparison to the time Ross wanted to have sex with his own cousin.
After not seeing them for years, Cassie came to visit Ross and Monica in New York. With Chandler unable to hide his staring and physical attraction to her, she went and stayed with Ross, who was just as bad. Worse even, you know, because of the whole ‘blood relative’ thing.
The start of the episode saw Dr. Geller joke that he currently had a no-sex pact with every woman in America, but that is no excuse for what he did. Even in spite of having to audibly restrain himself, a bottle of wine and a movie later he was trying to kiss her. He managed to convince himself that Cassie actually wanted him to make a move, but of course, she shrieked back because THEY ARE COUSINS.
Why did anyone think that this would ever be a good storyline? To make this episode even more messed up, one of the B stories saw Monica try and fashion a makeshift foreskin for Joey out of deli meat. You know it’s bad when that isn’t the worst and weirdest part of the episode.
