Friends: 10 Ways It Should Have Ended
9. Phoebe Should Have Had Her Own Family
What Happened
Well, nothing. The Friends finale really left Phoebe out. She'd been there through all 10 seasons being hilarious and brilliant, making up ridiculous songs like Smelly Cat and The First Time I Met Chandler, and then she was just left hanging.
Okay, so she'd had a happy ending with her marriage to Paul Rudd, but why was she left feeling like a support to the excitement surrounding the other characters?
What Should Have Happened
In the show’s one-hundredth episode we saw Phoebe give birth to triplets after going through surrogacy for her own brother. As well as giving us the fantastic ‘Chandler’s a girl’ line, this process demonstrated that Phoebe wanted her own children too. She went so far as to get Rachel to talk to Frank about her keeping one of the triplets, but unsurprisingly he was happy with keeping his three children.
We saw the beginnings of Phoebe building a family, getting married to Mike and deciding they wanted children together. The final episodes were a perfect opportunity for Phoebe and Mike to announce that they were pregnant with a brood of their own beautiful babies.
