3. She Harassed Her Maid
In "The One With The Stain" Chandler hired a maid, Brenda, to clean the apartment, and, after enough persuading, Monica agreed to give her a chance. However, things got way out of hand. Monica started to get distrustful and paranoid and insisted that Brenda was stealing from them. She believed Brenda took her bra and her jeans, and then had the obscenity to wear them in front of her.
Monica didn’t ask Brenda directly about her missing items and conducted her own investigation, taking it too far. Monica went between the maid's legs while she was cleaning behind the cabinets to look for a noticeable stain on the crotch. Her actions led Brenda to believe she was a lesbian.
Courtney Cox's character even pulled Chandler into her kooky scheme. Thus, Brenda prominently quit and left it at that, considering all the harassment Monica subjected her to. Later, Monica learned that Rachel took her jeans and, that all along, she was in fact wearing that exact bra all this time.
Monica's obsessive assumption that everyone wants to overthrow her is already troubling when it comes to her friends. What is more troubling, though, is that she draws strangers into her ego games. The results become less ridiculous and more frustrating.
