Season 2 Episode 19 Typically it's Brad Pitt, Tom Selleck and Bruce Willis who tend to top the list of greatest ever Friends guest stars and cameos, but Adam Goldberg's brilliantly unhinged room-mate from Hell Eddie was probably the most entertaining of all. And he's got the viewing figures to prove it. In the most watched of all the Friends seasons, Eddie's breakdown and Misery-like treatment of Chandler was a high-point, and a departure from the main will-they-won't-they storyline of Ross and Rachel. For that arc to matter, little side-stories like this - which re-formed Joey and Chandler as room-mates - were the perfect departure and amped up the comic moments. And the ending, where Eddie the psychopath is simply convinced that he's never actually met Chandler was the perfect full-stop (even if it was a bit mean towards genuine mental illness).
