Most TV sitcoms tend to have a couple who steal the audience's hearts and claim the title of best in the show, but that's not entirely true in Friends.
While many will point to the classic will they/won't they of Ross and Rachel as one of TV's best romances, plenty of other viewers would argue that Monica and Chandler were much better. So, naturally, fans tend to be divided down the middle.
Each pairing brought something different to the series, as Ross and Rachel's constant break-ups and shifts in romantic interest led to a sense of change and suspense. In contrast, Monica and Chandler's more conventional and (let's be honest) stronger relationship was often more heartwarming and emotional.
They've gone through so much together and grew thanks to what their romantic entanglements taught them. Still, they happened to do so much and experience so many things that you might have a little trouble remembering just which couple did what.
