If there's one way to split Friends fans right down the middle, it's the Joey/Rachel romance. Half of the fanbase thought it was an absolute mistake, and the other half found it to be a pleasant break of character for Joey and a change of pace for Rachel. Whichever side you fall on, there's no denying that he stands tall in her repertoire.

Their dynamic was an on-running thing, with Joey starting to catch feelings in season eight and the pairing coming together in season ten. Sure, it was awkward and felt utterly out-of-place in the show, but it was great to see a caring and more sensible side to Joey, even if it felt out of character for him.

Together, Joey and Rachel had a good time, and a lot of that was thanks to the foundation they'd already built as friends. While many people didn't care for this romance, at least Joey treated Rachel well and got his own kind of development as a result.
