Now, it's time to get to the homestretch, with characters Rachel actually seemed to have a good relationship with, and it's easy to start that with Paul Stevens.

At first, this character seemed like a simple cameo for movie star Bruce Willis, but he ended up being way more than that, becoming a great multi-episode figure and one of the show's best uses of celebrity guest stars.

Paul came into the show as the cold and intimidating father of Elizabeth, the student Ross was dating whilst he was lecturing. Naturally, he took an instant disliking to the grown man dating his young daughter, but it wasn't long before he started dating Rachel, and viewers got to see a different side to him.

The character was stern but hilarious. There were plenty of moments where his tough facade was brought down, two prime examples being his iconic dance in front of the mirror and extensive crying session with Rachel.

He was clearly not going to last long, but he and Rachel had fun together, and he was very likeable.
