Futurama: 10 Character Fates Worse Than Death

7. Being Mutated

A thousand years of technological advancements have seen the people of Earth visit many crazy planets throughout the universe, and vice versa. There are countless alien races living on Earth in the year 3000, but one of the most bizarre species didn't come from above.

Living below New New York, in the decaying ruins of Old New York, are a race of mutants. They were once humans, but have long since evolved into creatures with extra body parts, missing body parts, or have become something completely different.

For years, mutants weren't allowed on the planet's surface, and while some had mutations that still allowed them to live as good a life as possible in the sewers, some weren't so lucky.

Munda and Morris were missing an eye each, with tentacles and a sucker instead of arms and a mouth respectively, but what about the mutant that was literally just a leg? Surely there is no quality of life there? And how about Andy Goldman? He was Fry's neighbour in the year 2000, but fast forward 1000 years and he's just a tiny head on a bigger mutant's shoulder.
