Futurama: 10 Character Fates Worse Than Death

6. Being A Head In A Jar

For many celebrities from the 20th and 21st Century, and US Presidents dating back even further, death never truly arrived. Instead, thanks to the technology created by Ron Popeil, many were able to live on as a head in a jar.

Some appear to still be able to lead rich, full lives, but even Richard Nixon, who managed to become President of Earth, said that it was a sad and lonely life. Those that didn't go into politics or continue their careers became stuck in the Head Museum, waiting like goldfish for feeding time.

When Bender sold his body for booze money, he lived the high life for a while, but soon realised being just a head was an empty life. Ultimately, he would have killed himself if his self-destruct button wasn't on his body.

It would be bad enough to live as just a head in a jar, but how about not even having a jar to yourself? In the Blernsball Hall of Fame, the 2927 Yankees all had to share the same one. It may have been slightly bigger than normal, but still, this would have been unbearable.
