Futurama: 10 Most Paused Moments
9. The Original Martian (Luck Of The Fryish)
No. YOU'RE CRYING! Shut up. I still can't decide whether this episode or the one where Fry's beloved dog Seymour waits for him to come home is the saddest.
In season 3 episode 4, Fry is down on his luck but thinks he knows how to change things. He remembers he once had a seven leafed clover that would bring him luck in things like basketball and street dancing. This episode is full of flashbacks of him and his brother Yancy as they bicker about Fry's name - Philip, and the clover.
After discovering the clover is gone, Fry also finds out that Yancy had taken his name and achieved fame and fortune with the help of the clover. In a heartwarming twist, we discover that it wasn't actually Yancy who had achieved those things, but his son whom he lovingly named after Fry.
When we paused: This whole episode was leading up to Fry's revenge on Yancy but the emotional shift in the episode reaches its peak when we see Fry sitting forlornly at his nephew's tombstone. When paused you can clearly read that his whole life was dedicated to him
