Futurama: 10 Most Underrated Episodes
3. A Leela Of Her Own
When looking at IMDb's rankings of every single Futurama episode there are some real head scratching scores, none more so than this one. Out of 140 episodes, 'A Leela of her Own' sits in 136th place, tied on the same score as 'The Butterjunk Effect'.
Forget for a second that this episode is superior to Amy and Leela's escapades in the Butterfly Derby in just about every conceivable way, it shouldn't be anywhere near this close to the bottom of the pile. While it may not be the very best episode season four has to offer, it is still a very strong episode.
Leela's quest to avoid becoming the worst blurnsball player of all time of course allows for her character to shine, while Bender as her agent is nothing short of sublime. Plus, we also get to see one of Futurama's greatest ever one episode characters in Hank Aaron XXIV.
It's a funny episode, we get our most in depth look at the wonderful world of blurnsball yet, and it really is a struggle to understand why it is ranked so low. It simply doesn't make sense.
