Futurama: 10 Most Underrated Episodes

4. How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back

Of all the main Planet Express characters, it would be fair to say that Hermes is one of the least popular. That's not necessarily reflective of him being a bad character - it's just that he is up against the likes of Fry, Bender, Leela, Professor Farnsworth, and also Zoidberg.

The few episodes that have put the Jamaican bureaucrat at centre stage have been rather hit or miss, with 'Lethal Inspection' being universally loved, and 'The Million Dollar Mon' being entirely forgettable. 'How Hermes Requisitioned His Groove Back' however, deserves more plaudits on the same level as the former.

From the poker game and Bender taking Zoidberg's clothes from him, to Fry's hilarious relationship with Morgan and the truly excellent song at the end, this should be up there as one of the best episodes in all of season two, yet it is criminally overlooked by fans.

It's quite hard to grasp just how many jokes are packed into these 22 minutes, as a fantastic effort from start to finish that deserves more recognition than it gets. Just because it doesn't have a heart warming moment like 'Lethal Inspection' doesn't mean it's not as good.
