For the most part, Bender’s criminal record has only consisted of small time offences. Petty theft, graffiti, and arson by and large, though there was the occasional attempt to sell orphan children to Chinese restaurants. However, this is where he made the step into organized crime.

When the Donbot, Clamps, and Joey Mousepad came into Elzar’s restaurant, the head of the Robot Mafia was a fan of Bender’s lack of style (after all who isn’t) and attempts to steal money from right out of his hand. He quit Elzar’s, and became the Donbot’s newest recruit.

Bender had always wanted to be a gangster, so under the name of Blotto he unknowingly ended up heisting the Zuban cigars being carried by the Planet Express ship. Of course, this is as hilarious as it sounds, especially with the robot’s new English accent classing up the place.

Even when putting the lives of Fry and Leela in danger, you can’t help but love Bender, and the way he kicks the crutch from underneath a helpless child to defend himself.
