Futurama: 50 Best Ever Episodes

22. Bendless Love

"Bendless Love" brings us to absolutely fantastic things; the epic return of Flexo and the late Jan Hooks as the voice of Angle-ine, a love interest for Bender that allows us to get into the heart of the robot's jealousy problems. After soundly winning the heart of Angle-ine, that old paranoia creeps up and pits Bender against his old nemesis Flexo once more. But even so, this is also an episode where the side of Bender we don't see as often gets to shine through. While he could easily let Flexo rot under an unbendable girder for 1000 years to die, he sacrifices any chance with Angle-ine by saving his most hated enemy. A true moment of clarity for our pal Bender, and certainly not the last.

21. War Is The H-Word

"War Is the H-Word" takes a step into the movie parody direction in a brilliant tribute to the war movie genre, even throwing in some Star Wars gags for the fun of it. The war movie tributes don't stop the whole episode, showcasing all the tropes that we've come to love over the years from Starship Troopers to M*A*S*H*. Leela's quest to join the ranks is also a strong point in the episode, as it leads to some classic moments between her and Zapp Brannigan that sell the entire episode. Additionally, we get to find out Bender's ten most frequently used words, where the writers go for a brilliant fake out by throwing the word daffodil in there.
