Futurama: Every Planet Express Crew Member Ranked
13. Morgan Proctor
Leaving aside her fetishisation of Fry’s filthiness, Morgan Proctor might just be the straightest arrow Futurama ever shot... possibly second only to the Neutral Planet. Even her downfall comes as a result of her ‘recklessly’ only stamping a form four times, rather than the regulation five.
Despite her being such a steady, bland character, she’s actually one of the best one-off Planet Express characters because she feeds into the dynamics. She’s a perfect wall to bounce off not only with Fry, who gets the most screen time with her, but also Leela and Bender.
Where That Guy’s huge personality suffocates most of the cast, Morgan’s lack of personality yet strong leadership allows everyone to pile on her without her ever seeming like the victim.
She’s an ideal antagonist for the crew, letting them shine with the laughs yet keeping the pedal to the metal for plot.
Her tryst with Fry fleshes her out a little more, allowing her to interact with Fry and Bender while getting her own laughs in. Though she’s not really anybody’s favourite character, her episode is beloved. Once you realise how crucial she is to that, her stock rises considerably.
