Futurama: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
1. Season Three
Despite the excellence that season four brought to the show, it's Futurama's third chapter that remains its best. It beats season four out simply because of its consistency, with every episode being an all-time classic. With no bumps in the narrative and some of the show's best, most insane and entertaining episodes, season three is on a whole new level of TV.
From the time traveling hilarity of "Roswell That Ends Well," which sees Fry kill his grandfather and sleep with his own grandmother to make sure he still exists in the future, to the mini-adventure that comes with "Parasites Lost," season three is simply unbeatable.
The best episode of the season (and perhaps the entire show) is "The Luck of the Fryrish," a deeply moving portrait of what happened to Fry's family after he went missing that ends with an absolute gut-punch. There's also "War is the H-Word," which sees Fry, Bender and Leela fighting a war under the inept leadership of Zapp Brannigan.
With its humour and character insight, its inventiveness and its often dark humour, season three really is the best of the best.
Best episodes: The Luck of the Fryrish, Roswell That Ends Well, War is the H-Word, The 30% Iron Chef, Parasites Lost.
