Winter is coming! It is going to be a long one as we have to wait until next Spring to get our lethal dose from Game of Thrones. Having just wrapped up the superb third season the internet is already rife with rumours and casting for Season 4. Chilean actor Pedro Pascal has been cast as Oberyn Martell 'The Red Viper', a pivotal role for the next season. Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss told
Entertainment Weekly: "The Red Viper is sexy and charming, yet believably dangerous; intensely likable, yet driven by hate. The boys love him, the girls love him, and he loves them all back. Unless your last name is Lannister." Benioff and Weiss have already come under fire for the controversial casting, many saying that Pascal is too unknown to play such an important role, with some are already calling for his head to be mounted on a spike at King's Landing. So with Game of Thrones having an ever expanding cast, larger than Jaime Lannister's ego, casting has become a major part. The series represents the cream of the crop when it comes to acting talent and to some Game of Thrones is much more than just a series with fictional characters.
