Game Of Thrones: 10 Best Characters Who Appeared After Season One

2. Brienne Of Tarth

A badass warrior woman with awesome sword skills, a sense of honour and a host of likeable qualities? Sign us up, please!

That's the attitude that befell Brienne of Tarth from essentially her first minute on screen. The impossibly imposing character hit it off right away with viewers, as her dedication to Renly Baratheon was relatable, and she was a cut above the rest when it came to swinging a sword.

As the series progressed, you learned more about her, taking her from an extraordinary fighter to a complex character. For example, her dynamic with Jamie Lannister exposed a far more emotional side for both of them and even gave viewers a couple to root for. Of course, the pair never ended up coming together, but their sections of the show remained a highlight unto the bitter end.

Ultimately, Brienne became a character you could place anywhere and get something good out of. She could be found across many storylines and always brought a must-see quality, making her one of the most popular characters in the show.

Not bad for someone who only arrived in season two.
