Game Of Thrones: 10 Best Moments Of Poetic Justice

4. Joffrey's Death

Joffrey's death was without a doubt a joyous occasion. For too long had the violent little rat been seated on the most powerful and uncomfortable chair in Westeros, and like many of Martin's kills, his death wasn't without a dollop of poetic justice. It all pivots around Tywin Lannister. The patriarch of the Lannister family sets into motion a plan to kill Robb Stark, a young contender for the throne, at a wedding that should have been his. However, unknown to Tywin there is a plan in motion for Joffrey 'Baratheon', the young man perceived as the right person for the throne, at his own wedding. And the entire plan revolved around Robb Stark's sister Sansa to unwittingly carry the murder weapon in her necklace. There are definite parallels and ironies involved in Joffrey's death.
