Game Of Thrones: 10 Biggest Casting Mistakes

1. The Three Sand Snakes

Why It Was A Mistake: The show usually gets away with casting actors and actresses who look nothing like their book counterparts because the actors and actresses are so good most of the time. For the Sand Snakes however, each actress' performance was comical at best. Not only did each actress look nothing like the exotic and tanned women described in the books, but their 'acting' consisted mostly of childish arguing and some hammy expository monologues. Each character had so little development that each actress could've swapped roles and you wouldn't have noticed. But the worst offender was the actress' inability to convincingly capture the Sand Snakes' fighting ability. Instead of holding their own in their moment-to-shine showdown with Jaime and Bronn, it just looked and felt like grown men beating up on three girls. Who Should€™ve Been Cast: This is a difficult one to tackle since the problem is split equally between the poor writing and the lack of screen time to really judge each actress. Yes the acting was bad, but the writing for the whole Dorne storyline was so bad for Season 5 that not even someone with Meryl Streep's talent can't salvage something from the material. Let's give each actress the benefit of the doubt this time and recast the writers instead. If things don't improve in season 6, then let the casting debate re-commence.

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back.
