8. Grand Maester Pycelle

This unsavoury, gremlin-like character has been hanging around in the wings of the show for ages, generally being a douchebag and stinking up King's Landing. He didn't appear all that much in season five, presumably because he had little reason to. Really, though, there is no reason for Grand Maester Pycelle to stay alive any longer - not to mention that he seems to have worn out his uses as a character in more general terms. Pycelle is the very definition of a slippery character - one who has somehow managed to evade death ever since he first appeared on the show (though few would argue that he deserves anything other than a grisly murder). Hopefully he'll push his luck a bit too far in season six and Cersei will make the decision to have him beheaded or banished or fired out of a canon into the sun - whatever it takes, just get him the hell out of the show.
