Game Of Thrones: 10 Characters Who Need To Die In Season 6
7. Roose Bolton
Roose Bolton has never been as interesting as he should (or could) have been, and even now - at a point in the narrative, five seasons in, where he should be one of the most compelling players in the show - he has about as much personality as a Jason Statham character (that's not a good thing, Statham fans). Nobody cares about Roose Bolton. Stannis started out as a relatively dull character, sure, but at least he began to get more interesting as the show went on - he became conflicted and complex and disillusioned and - let's face it - really weird, and thus we started to get a grip on his troubled mindset. Roose Bolton, on the other hand, feels like an archetypical villain with no discerning traits. Personality issues aside, though, Roose deserves to die because he has committed some of the show's more shocking atrocities, the most unforgivable of which saw him kill Robb Stark, who - at the time - was one of the more level-headed people in Westeros. For that act alone, Bolton must cease to breathe, yet every week he seems to do something terrible in order to secure more power. Surely his days ruling Winterfell are almost over? It's probably better if Roose meets his end sooner rather than later, which will also mean there's a lot more time for other, more three-dimensional characters to shine.
