Game Of Thrones: 10 Evil Acts Committed By Starks
4. The Starks May Have Died Out Decades Ago
Bael the Bard was a story told amongst the free folk as an infamous wilding raider that would go on to become one of the many Kings-Beyond-the-Wall.
Not only was he an incredible leader and fighter, but he was also a skillful musician. As a bard, he would sing of his many exploits and victories over the southern Kings and particularly of the Starks. In a fateful mistake, King Brandon Stark the Daughterless (the Starks are not known for their creativity in names) declared Bael was a coward.
Brandon the Daughterless did in fact have one daughter which he cherished above all. After hearing the King slander his name, Bael infiltrated Winterfell under the guise of Sygerrik of Skagos. Impressed by the bard's voice, the stranger was offered a reward for his entertainment to which he asked for the most beautiful flower in Winterfell. A single blue winter rose was presented to "Sygerrik".
The next day, Brandon awoke to find his only daughter missing with the same blue rose laying in her bed. Bael was said to have fathered a child with the daughter who grew to be the next Lord of Winterfell. King-Beyond-the-Wall and his bastard son would eventually fight at the Frozen Ford where the father willingly succumbed to his son's wrath.
If this legend is true then there is no true born Stark left with the later generations descended from illegitimate wildling bloodline. The Starks covered up the incident by claiming the story is nothing more than a bard's tall tale.
