Game Of Thrones: 10 Evil Acts Committed By Starks
3. They Wiped Out Their Own Family
Following the epic Battle of the Bastards, Jon Snow is declared the White Wolf and new King in the North.
The reason he is dubbed the White Wolf is due to a Westeros tradition where a bastard child is legitimised and adopts the reverse colours of their house flag. Instead of a grey wolf on a white background, Jon's sigil would be a white wolf on a grey background.
Everyone's favourite Snow is not the first famous bastard of House Stark, however, as a previous bastard was awarded the title of Greystark and some land known as the Wolf's Den. Much like the Karstarks, the Greystark branched out from the main family, eventually creating their own identity.
When House Bolton went on a murderous crusade to proclaim themselves King in the North, they were joined by several other northern houses. Despite the Boltons's cruel ways, the Greystarks joined in attacking the Starks.
After years of conflict, the bastard house was wiped out while the conniving Boltons were allowed to live. Given Robb Stark's beheading of Lord Karstark, it is clear that there is no love lost in killing one's own kin.
