Game Of Thrones: 10 Lesser Known Fan Theories That Might Actually Be True

5. Jon To Be Lord Of Winterfell

Lady Sansa Stoneheart
HBO

Presuming he gets resurrected by Melisandre and her Lord of Light, or however he comes back (if he comes back from his "dead is dead is dead"-ness), fans have theorised that before Rob Stark kicked the bucket, he made a will that legitimised Jon and named him as his heir. He was the "King of the North" after all, so didn't he have the authority to turn Jon Snow into Jon Stark after all?

With Bran and Rickon presumed dead in the books and Sansa and Arya both betrothed (Arya is also presumed dead in the show), it would make sense that everyone in the North is desperately trying to get this to pass. "The North Remembers", after all.

So will Jon Snow... err, I mean, Stark, claim his lordship in the North? How will he even find out about this hidden will? And what will happen if he finds out if his real parents are Lyanna Stark and Rhaegar Targaryen (if indeed they actually are)? It sounds terribly complicated.

Let's just focus on whether or not he's actually coming back for now.
