Game Of Thrones: 10 Moments That Prove Stannis Was The Mannis

6. He Saved The Night€™s Watch

For all of the squabbling and battling between the self-styled Kings of Westeros, there is a much bigger threat, something that when it comes these other wars will feel wholly insignificant. The Night€™s Watch wrote to all of the Kings and Lords desperately seeking more men in the fight against the White Walkers, but little help is sent their way. Only Stannis (with some convincing from Davos and Melisandre) takes the threat seriously, and decides to actually help the Watch. After travelling to Braavos to secure funding from the Iron Bank, Stannis leads his army to The Wall and defeats the wildlings, led by Mance Rayder, saving Jon Snow€™s life in the process. Stannis knows the importance of The Wall and the Night€™s Watch, and understands what is coming, which can€™t be said for any of the other claimants.
