8. Daenerys Targaryen

Daenerys took a massive blow in Season 5. She wants to rule the Seven Kingdoms, yet she has failed to rule one former slave city. That's a crippling blow for her chances, with the Sons Of The Harpy striking harder than ever before in the fighting pits at the end of Season 5. The only thing really holding Daenerys in this position is the winged beast she's learning to fly, Drogon. The dragon has proven it can be an immense fighting machine, and there are two more to add to her fleet. Without them she is nothing, but with them, Daenerys has power, even after her mysterious encounter with the Dothraki the last time we saw her.
