4. High Sparrow

The award for the most rapid rise to power belongs to the High Sparrow. He went from being a charitable religious cult leader to the man who locked up Queen Margaery Tyrell and Queen Regent Cersei Lannister, perhaps the two most powerful women in the world at one point. Yet despite all of this, it's not as if his philosophies have changed, he's simply applying them on a grand scale, and Cersei is falling on the wrong side of that. Her plan to obliterate Margaery has backfired spectacularly, and if a man has the confidence to 'shame' Cersei the way he did, then that man's going to have the confidence to do it again.
