After a festering wound during the mind-blowing (pun intended) duel with Prince Oberyn, The Mountain looked down-and-out, before being treated by Qyburn and his unorthodox methods of research which have so far included dissecting a rat and taking possession of dwarf's head. We didn't have clarification that Clegane was dead, which usually means that the character most certainly still has a purpose to serve. Now, as Qyburn carried out his experiments, the camera lingered on the scene, and The Mountain shook angrily on the table beneath a white sheet. He's the Frankenstein's Monster of Westeros, and after Qyburn's admission that he may "change," who knows what The Mountain's future holds. The embers of his storyline are burning low, but if he does indeed make a comeback, some brutal scenes could go down.
