Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We're Asking After 'The Lion And The Rose'
8. Is Tyrion In Prison?
It seems likely that Tyrion has indeed been imprisoned for the murder of King Joffrey given that guards seized him at the end of The Lion and the Rose. Circumstantial evidence also points to him, as he had ample time to poison the wine as Joffreys appointed cupbearer, but he couldnt have known that his nephew would decide to humiliate him in that fashion. Regardless, if Tyrion is indeed under lock and key, how long will he stay there? Will Tywin step in to reason with Cersei? Will Tyrion arrange another trial by combat, as he did once before at the Eyrie? How will Jaime react? Will the Lannister regime even last long enough for a trial to begin? It may seem a safe bet that fan favourite Tyrion will survive to see another season, but if Game of Thrones has taught us anything, its that nobody is safe. It will be interesting to see whether he can worm his way out of this debacle.
