Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We're Asking After 'The Lion And The Rose'
7. What Will Happen To Sansa?
If you believe that Tyrions popularity will ensure that he escapes Ned Starks fate, spare a thought for Sansa, who has no such guarantee. Her father was dubbed a traitor to the Crown and her brother followed suit, and now her husband has been imprisoned for murder. Intriguingly, Sansa is spirited away from the wedding by the fool Ser Dontos, who tells her that its necessary for her safety. His motives for doing so will be discussed later, but its true that Sansa is in danger while she remains in Kings Landing, unless Tyrion secures a quick release. So where could she go? She is once again invited to Highgarden by Olenna in this episode, so perhaps we could see Sansa visit the Tyrell lands. Arya is en route to the Vale and her Aunt Lysa, but a happy reunion would be uncharacteristic for this series and especially for the beleaguered Starks. Perhaps Brienne will make good on Jaimes vow to Catelyn Stark, as he seems unlikely to do so himself. Finally, and most disturbingly, the hollow, grief-stricken Sansa of this season may simply decide to face her fate alone.
