Game Of Thrones: 10 Questions We’re Asking After 'Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken'
7. How Many Tyrells Are Going To Die?
Bet your house, your mead, and your stableboy that at least one of the Tyrells won't survive the season, but who will it be? Margaery has been arrested for lying in the presence of the gods, a crime that the Sparrows won't exactly punish lightly. Loras has been arrested because of his sexuality, and he also lied during the inquest, putting major question marks over his head too. Mace Tyrell hasn't been seen or pompously heard since he was sent out to the Iron Bank with Meryn Trant, though Cersei's nod to the knight doesn't suggest Mace is going to have much fun in Braavos. There's also the intriguing re-emergence of Olenna Tyrell, Margaery's grandmother, Joffrey's killer. She began as an irritating, bustling, awkward mother-in-law type of figure, but after her revelations about killing the king, she's turned into a cult hero among many fans. Margaery is sweet and deceptive. Cersei is fierce and deceptive. Olenna is trickier than both combined. Cersei's "Ah yes, the famously tart-tongued Queen of Thorns" line is easily swatted away by Olenna with the devilishly delivered "...and the famous tart Queen Cersei," but still, she is an elderly woman and is physically vulnerable, even if she could verbally kill anyone who crosses her path.
