Game Of Thrones: 10 Theories That Turned Out To Be Bulls*it
6. Jeyne Westerling's Pregnant With Robb's Child
While the Red Wedding was a chaotic scene of bloody murder, in the books there was one potentially important character not there to witness it, despite being the catalyst for the entire massacre: Robb's wife, Jeyne Westerling. She remains at Riverrun, so as to not cause any further tension between the Freys and the Starks (not that it made any difference in the end). Since she is still alive, many have theorised that she is carrying Robb's child, the heir to the North. The basis for this seems to stem from the fact that she's still alive, and ergo must have a part to play, but mostly from a couple of differing descriptions of the character. From Catelyn's point of view she is seen as having wide hips, good for birthing a child. However, when Jaime Lannister sees her, he thinks she is narrow-hipped. These conflicting viewpoints give rise to the theory that the Jeyne who Jaime sees is actually a fake, and the real one has been hidden away so as to protect the Stark baby. However, Linda Antonsson, one of the creators of Westeros.org and at times a fact-checker for the series, has stated her belief this was simply a mistake, and said that Martin himself has apparently admitted as such. It was debunked further on the show, when Jeyne replacement Talisa was shown to be pregnant but then stabbed repeatedly in the stomach. Obviously they are separate entities, but as Benioff and Weiss know where the series is headed, it's safe to assume they wouldn't so brutally show that murder if Jeyne Westerling were to end up having Robb's child.

A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
