Game Of Thrones: 10 Things That Must Happen Before The End

Season six ticked a lot of things off the Game Of Thrones fan theory checklist, in particular, the identity of Coldhands and the confirmation of R+L=J. There are major theories yet to be confirmed, however, with the arrival of the Ice Dragons being one of the biggest.

The Ice Dragons do exactly what they say on the ice; they breathe ice instead of fire. Since the series is called A Song Of Ice And Fire, it makes sense ice and fire will literally fight it out over the throne, with the White Walkers spreading the chill with dragons of their own design, while Daenerys heats things up.

The book has laid the seeds for their eventual appearance, and George R.R. Martin himself wrote a children’s novel titled The Ice Dragon way back in 1980. If the show ends without a single ice dragon appearing, expect a tonne of angry tweets.
