Game Of Thrones: 10 Things We Already Know About Season 6

10. A Corrupt Brotherhood Without Banners

The Brotherhood Without Banners were last seen in the third season, and since then have become one of many dangling plots left to be resolved. What happened to them after Arya ran off? We know they were a brotherhood of outlaws who fought to protect the smallfolk from the warring lords. Are they still doing this? Afterall, circumstances within the realm have changed. From the looks of the recent casting revelations, the Brotherhood Without Banners may finally be returning next season, though based on the character descriptions, not for the better. The show is looking for actors to play various members of an outlaw band using religion to take advantage of the people they swore to protect. This sounds very much like the Brotherhood Without Banners, who followed the Lord of Light, though it appears that they have lost sight of their goals. Given the state of Westeros, it wouldn€™t be surprising to find out that the Brotherhood have become a shadow of their former selves; extorting the people they swore to protect in order to survive outside the law. This would be quite the change from the books where the Brotherhood gets lost in revenge instead of greed and desperation. However, this past season has shown that it isn€™t afraid of making drastic changes to the source material. Either way, it will be nice to get back to this story again, and who knows, maybe that certain character that everybody wants to appear will finally grace us with their presence.
