8. The Greyjoys Will Be Back
It has been forever since House Greyjoy was relevant to the plot of Game of Thrones. Last we saw them, they were being rooted out of Moat Cailin by Ramsay Bolton. Yara hasnt been seen since her attempt to rescue Theon from the Dreadfort, and as far as we know her father Balon is still hanging out on Pike being miserable. Had the fifth season followed the books more closely, the Greyjoys would have featured prominently. A Feast For Crows has an entire subplot detailing the politicking of the Iron Islanders after the death of their king Balon. This storyline takes up a significant chunk of that book, and all of it was cut from the show. Given the increasing irrelevance of the Greyjoys with each passing season, it was looking more and more likely that this plot was gone for good. However, thanks to recent casting calls for next year, it is actually looking like the Greyjoys will be returning in full force, kingsmoot and all. One of the roles being cast is named Pirate, who is described as a man in his 40s to late 50s who has "terrorised seas all around the world. Cunning, ruthless, with a touch of madness. This description may not stand out to those who havent read the books, but to those who have, this can only describe one character
