Game Of Thrones: 10 Things We Already Know About Season 6
7. Euron Greyjoy
Yes, this casting description has to be for Euron Greyjoy, younger brother of Balon and uncle of Theon and Yara. Not only are the Greyjoys likely returning to the screen after being away for so long, their most notorious family member will be introduced as well. So why is this exciting news? Euron is arguably the most interesting and fascinating member of his family, who, lets face it, tends to be a bit too dour to be interesting. Commonly referred to as Euron Crows Eye, he is so sadistic, charismatic, unpredictable, and ambitious that Balon banished him from the Iron Islands, which is saying something. A man too extreme for a Greyjoy is not to be trifled with. Since then he has sailed the world on his personal ship Silence, raping and pillaging wherever he goes. His adventures are countless, making him very experienced and knowledgeable, which is a dangerous combination in the hands of a sociopath. Eurons belated entrance into the series means that, should this storyline follow the books, Balon will probably meet his end at the beginning of next season, leaving a power vacuum in which Euron will attempt to crown himself king of the Iron Islands. It is a storyline with much promise, both because it will finally give the Greyjoys something to do while introducing a new character that, if done well, is certain to be a fan favourite.
