Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups and 2 Downs From 'The Door'
7. Euron Is Crowned King
The show version of Euron is throwing me off a little bit, but only because he's quite different (and significantly younger) than the way I imagined him in the books; he's crazy for sure, but doesn't come across as as much of a badass pirate, and he doesn't have that eyepatch.
That's something that becomes easier to overlook the more screentime we get of Euron, because damn he's fun. As I mentioned, he's obviously a bit bonkers, but now he's got a (rather unimpressive) crown to go with it, as the show (sort of) sticks with the books in having him win the Kingsmoot. That's probably smart not only for his storyline, but how much it frees up Yara and Theon's.
Pilou Asbk looks so much like he is actually related to Alfie Allen that it's almost a little disconcerting, but he's clearly having a ball in the role, and gets to deliver some excellent lines ("Galavanting?") while also proving himself to be completely ruthless. He may not have a horn, but he's still going after the Dragon Queen. Good luck with that one.
