Game Of Thrones Season 6: 10 Ups and 2 Downs From 'The Door'
6. The Westerosi Play
In what ended up being a very brutal and emotional episode, this offered some great moments of levity, as we got to witness a not-exactly-accurate version of recent Westeros events play out on stage. Joffrey is a sweet and just prince, Tyrion the manipulator who steals Sansa from him, Ned Stark a complete buffoon, and Robert Baratheon, well, he's actually spot-on to be fair.
It's a really fun scene to watch, but what elevates it is that we get to see it alongside Arya, and witness her reactions. While she's initially enjoying the people she despises being mocked, that quickly sours when her father appears, and is beheaded in front of her again.
The backstage scene was a nice touch as well (and credit to Thrones for some gratuitous male nudity for once), but it matters because of Arya, and specifically Arya Stark and the clear fact that she's still holding on to that person, and isn't ready to be no one just yet, if ever.
