2. Euron Greyjoy

What a letdown Euron was, seriously.

The estranged brother of Balon Greyjoy, Euron's introduction was initially strong as he killed his sibling with no more than a smile, before going on to reclaim the Iron Islands from Yara Greyjoy, who should have been the rightful heir. After that, we were excited to see what would happen next.

Sadly, Season Seven seemed to have had a strange impact on Euron, so much so he could have been a completely different character to the previous season. More mad pirate than vengeful sibling, he suddenly became a pantomime villain, happy to kill anyone and anything in his path just to get into bed with Cersei.

It was much more one-dimensional than what had come before with the character and a more promising storyline could have come in the form of a civil war between him and Yara for the Iron Islands - sadly something the show’s budget clearly wouldn’t allow.

Euron is arguably the greatest let down of a character who started strong but fell flat due to a focus on the main characters and lack of screen time, but there is one other person who takes the top spot...
