As the 73rd and last ever episode of Game of Thrones, 'The Iron Throne' should have wrapped everything up in a satisfactory finish, but fell woefully short of the mark thanks to rushed stories, plot holes, and simply idiotic decisions and dialogue.

Several of the main characters who lived to the end of the story got satisfactory endings, but the way they arrived there seemed nothing short of dumb. Jon went to live with the Wildlings because Grey Worm told him to, and after years away from Westeros, Arya returned home just to leave again.

All this without mentioning Tyrion's idea to crown Bran solely on the basis that he knows the history of Westeros, and the fact that Jon's true Targaryen identity, that was at the time the biggest bombshell the show ever dropped, ultimately meant nothing at all.

Where before Game of Thrones was in the conversation with the likes of Breaking Bad for the crown of greatest TV show ever, the fact that the final episode was its worst signifies how it limped over the finish line, tarnishing its legacy, and forever omitting itself from these conversations in the future.
