As the fourth season ended with Arya on a boat sailing for Braavos, many fans were expecting her time there to be a major part of Season 5. It was something of a surprise, then, when she didn't appear at all in the first episode, The Wars To Come. It was in Episode 2 that we finally see what shes up to, as she comes across the titular House of Black and White. She is initially refused admittance, and tosses away the coin given to her in frustration. After days waiting outside the House, another figure emerges and returns the coin to her before his face morphs into that of Jaqen Hghar. He states that a man is not Jaqen Hghar and is instead no one which is what Arya must also become. This not only reunites Arya (and us) with Jaqen (or at least a man with his face), but sets Arya on the path to join the mysterious Faceless Men and become a deadly assassin, which is a very exciting prospect.
NCTJ-qualified journalist. Most definitely not a racing driver. Drink too much tea; eat too much peanut butter; watch too much TV. Sadly only the latter paying off so far.
A mix of wise-old man in a young man's body with a child-like wonder about him and a great otherworldly sensibility.
