Game Of Thrones: 12 Questions We’re Asking After 'Mother's Mercy'

1. Will Jon Snow Come Back From The Dead?

The biggest question of them all. Will Jon Snow make a comeback? While nothing is certain, let's look at the evidence, the foreshadowing, everything. There are snippets from Sam saying: "I used to worry about Jon Snow, but he always comes back," to Olly in a previous episode. Is that a hint, or just an ironic reference to his permanent death? There's also Maester Aemon's words: "Kill the boy and let the man be born." At times, Jon could still be seen as a boy, with a big heart albeit sightly naive, even if what he was doing by saving the wildlings was ultimately the right thing to do. Could this be the first part of that being completed? Finally there's Melisandre. She's SURELY got a part to play, and the whole 'Brotherhood Without Banners' resurrection story has to have been more than a time waster. There's plenty of evidence to suggest that this isn't the end for such a pivotal character, but at the same time, the 'Game of Thrones way' will probably see his body casually burned and dismembered in the first scene of Season 6 to end his story. Until then, there's almost a year of torment and hope, with either being easily extinguished come the premiere. If this is this end, the real shock will hit in 2016, it's a delayed reaction, and if it is the end, Jon Snow really did die knowing nothing.
