3. Essos Remains A Loose End

The Season 6 finale largely severs ties with Essos: Daenerys leaves Meereen and Arya leaves Braavos, both of them heading home to Westeros.

While the continent that lies to the east of Westeros does still have an active role thanks to the Iron Bank in Season 7 and the Golden Company in Season 8, it's unlikely we're going to see much more of it, but what does that mean for the two big characters left there: Jaqen and Daario?

Both are left behind in Season 6, but are they gone for good? Jaqen could be just about anyone, anywhere, but it does feel like the book is closed on that. But what about Daario? Might he go back to being a sellsword in Dany's absence? Could he even join the Golden Company and fight for her enemy? Or is his story really finished?
