4. Brynden Tully
Hoster Tully is dead, his son Edmure is held captive at Casterly Rock, his daughter Catelyn is the undead Lady Stoneheart and his other daughter Lysa was killed by Littlefinger. It would seem like House Tully is all but done for until you remember that one of their number is still at large The Blackfish. One of the more formidable fighters featured in the series, Brynden Tully supported his niece Catelyn and her son Robb in their conflict with the Lannisters, reconciling with his brother Hoster on his deathbed after years of estrangement resulting from Bryndens refusal to marry. Tasked with holding Riverrun in Robbs name, The Blackfish succeeded in his mission for a significant period of time, despite the occurrence of the Red Wedding and the surrender of most of the other Lords of the Riverlands to the Iron Throne. He escaped when command of the castle was passed over to his nephew Edmure, who was released from captivity by Jaime Lannister solely to yield the castle in order to spare its inhabitants and his unborn son. At large and still loyal to both the Stark and Tully causes, we arent done with the Blackfish yet by a long way.
