Game Of Thrones: 14 Things You Learn Rewatching Season 3
4. The One Thing Tywin Should've Listened To Joffrey About
Joffrey didn't get a lot of things right. He was a petulant, spoilt, and brattish little c**t, who ultimately got what he deserved long after he'd inflicted pain and misery on so many people. But he did get one thing right.
During Season 3, he talks to his grandfather about Daenerys Targaryen, and shows concern about the fact she really does appear to have dragons. "Don't you think we should do something about it?" he asks, and presses the matter further when Tywin basically shrugs it off, until eventually his grandfather puts him in his place.
It's a moment designed to show how powerful Tywin is, even filmed with him towering over Joffrey, and yet when Joffrey exclaims that some of the old dragons were "as big as carriages", we know he was right to be worried. The Lannister army is destroyed by the dragons, who also help Dany to come over to Westeros in the first place, which might've been avoided had Tywin really taken Joffrey's concerns on board.
