Theon Greyjoy really had a rough season... one could say about every season for the last 6 years. His moments of bravery have been sporadic since the series began.

This season was more about him coming to grips with his own trauma. This wasn't going to happen until he faced his crew from the Iron Islands and proves that there's a spine somewhere within the battered husk of a man.

The scene was a little predictable, but undeniably thrilling. Theon may have no balls (figuratively and literally), but he has survived more torture than any other character in the show (even if he may have earned a little of that torture to begin with).

In this scene and the one before it, Theon finally reconciled his divided nature. Greyjoy by birth, Stark by upbringing, he's not particularly liked by either side. And by finally using his weaknesses to his own advantage, he managed to become a character worth rooting for once again.
