Game Of Thrones: 20 Greatest Performances

18. Kerry Ingram - Shireen Baratheon

Originally it was uncertain as to whether or not Shireen Baratheon would actually appear in the show as it seemed there might not be enough time. Nonetheless, she was eventually introduced in season three and thank goodness for that.

Not only was she a great character, but she was also blessed with one of the very best child actors the show ever had. Kerry Ingram brought a startling amount of maturity and world-weariness to the role, which she brilliantly mixed with a sense of child-like warmth and innocence.

Through her performance, Ingram made Shireen one of the most purely likeable characters in the show and this made her horrifying death in season five, which presented the finest acting of her Game of Thrones run, all the more harrowing.
