Another controlled, intelligently understated performance, Natalie Dormer helped to make Margaery Tyrell one of the show's best female characters.
It is very unfortunate that she departed in season six, as it felt like there was still plenty more to be done with her yet, but that doesn't take away from how great her run on Game of Thrones was.
Dormer brought all of Margaery Tyrell's masterful manipulations and political ingenuity to life and ensured that everything she said was convincing. It was often easy to forget that a lot of what she did was a facade, making Margaery a thoroughly effective political schemer who deceived viewers as much as the characters around her.
Game of Thrones has sent Natalie Dormer's career to new levels of success and she is now appearing in lots of different things - for example, she was maybe the only good thing in that ghastly Picnic at Hanging Rock miniseries in 2018. This couldn't be more deserved and the future can only be bright for her.
