Game Of Thrones: 25 Easter Eggs, In-Jokes And References You Need To See

9. The Opening Credits

On many shows the opening credits are something to fast forward past, usually because they€™re overlong, the song isn€™t very good, or you just want to get straight to the action. That certainly isn€™t the case on Game of Thrones. Yes, they are very long, but totally worth it. Instead of just a roll call of names, they actually serve to foreshadow the events of the episode. It acts as a three-dimensional, moving map of Westeros and Essos, and each location shown is one that the episode will be visiting. There€™s even little details you might miss first time around, such as the Bolton sigil replacing the Stark one at Winterfell. Also, that theme tune is awesome, and every fan has had it stuck in their head at least once.
